Case Study: Tourism Innovation Programme

There’s a wealth of innovative and engaged staff employed in the tourism industry, many with excellent local knowledge and expertise in their field. With cuts to public sector spending, it’s increasingly important for local tourism businesses to work collaboratively and innovatively.

In 2014, Bournemouth set up a Tourism Innovation Programme; this case study has led to the development of a framework for other destinations, to ensure new ideas and innovation can be captured and developed to enable tourism growth.
