We do like to be beside the seaside!
Whilst many people thought that post-Brexit we would see a downturn in tourism this hasn’t been the case in coastal resorts according to a survey completed by software company EPOS Now that has noted a post-Brexit staycation boom. They reported that Brighton has seen sales driven up in pubs, bars, cafes by a very healthy 12.8 percent. The survey of over 320 hospitality businesses showed that large scale seaside towns had seen the biggest rise in sales between July 17 and August 17 compared with the same time last year. Brighton topped the rankings followed by Southend and Newquay where revenue rose by 9.1 per cent and 8.9 per cent respectively. A clear sign that we do like to be beside the seaside!
