Stirred up for success
For career inspiration, nothing beats listening to the success stories, people who’ve started small and made it big. We’re working with a group of hotels to track career progression, to motivate staff in the business to aim high, fast track their career and love what they do.
As part of this, we’ve been staging a series of master classes featuring individuals who’ve had different paths to success. And they’ve been firing us up - these guys eat, sleep, breathe and dream what they do.
Our first introduced James Fowler, owner of a local, artisan restaurant and 2014 winner of World Class Bartender of the Year. Impassioned by the best in local and global cuisine, James came brimming with reasons for loving this business, for its flexibility, wealth of opportunities and “opening doors to the world.”
Russell Brown launched Dorset’s first Michelin-starred restaurant and inspired everyone with his motivation. “Never give up, be consistent and focus on your dreams and goals,” he said. “But equally, never forget that everyone is important – chefs, waiting staff, bar tenders, managers – it takes a team working together to create success.”
We’ve held four classes so far, all enormously popular.
Coming up we’ll be hosting: (click to book your FREE place)
- Andy Edwards, a globally known inspirational speaker on 11 February
- Cookery ace Des Burke on 25 February, who’s worked with the Roux brothers and MasterChef’s John Torode.
Don’t miss the chance to get inspired and see where your career in hospitality could take you.
