NCTA England’s Coast March Update

"Planning and anticipating a holiday is one of life’s great joys and after a turbulent couple of years, it was great to hear upbeat talk of bookings and interest at Explore GB. While many tour operators are looking to consolidate their product for this year, there’s a real appetite for new experiences, interest in local food and drink, getting outdoors by the sea as well as the Year of the Coast and England Coast Path.

The coronation on May 6th and bonus bank holiday on Monday May 8th gives a choice of three bank holiday weekends and even if wallets might be a little tighter, a short trip is still in the grasp of many. We know from our consumer survey that repeat business is high, 80% said they’d like to return to the coast within the year. However, even though 88% thought their break was good or excellent value for money, price is key and the single biggest influencer.
