NCTA England’s Coast January 2024

"While 2024 has kicked off with storms, sub-zero temperatures and an Arctic chill, we’ve turned up the heat with the launch of A Coast for All … campaign, building on the success of 2023 The Year of the Coast. Throughout the year we’ll be underscoring the message that the coast is open to all – A Coast for All Seasons, for All Adventures, All Experiences and All Occasions.

If you live or work on the coast we would love you to get involved, download the free toolkit and use it on your website, social media and wider communications. We’ll be using this branding to promote new product, experiences and events with a particular focus on coastal accessibility and sustainability.

To ensure this campaign encourages more visits, we need to hear your news, so do let us know what’s new and we’ll feed it into our England’s Coast activity. Do also ensure your local authority is aware of any coastal events to add to our 2024 Event Calendar, this is a great source of information for UK and international visitors.

VisitEngland is predicting a particular spotlight on the coast this year due to the completion of the King Charles III England Coast Path, anticipated to be fully open by the end of 2024. Furthermore, its Domestic Sentiment Tracker insights say visitors are more likely to seek outdoor areas and sports activities this year thanks to the affordability of pursuits like hiking, swimming and cycling, so there’s every reason to feel positive for coastal tourism this year!"
