NCTA England’s Coast April Update
"While the weather over Easter was fickle to say the least, preparations for three bank holidays in May and celebratory events for the King’s coronation ahead of summer have put many of us in positive mood.
So, there’s no better time to celebrate Year of the Coast! If you haven’t done so yet, do download the free logo and toolkit; feature it on your website, tag us in your social media and make sure your local DMO knows about all your events to ensure they’re added to the live Year of the Coast event calendar. This spotlight on the coast is making plenty of noise and we’d love you to be part of it.
Many congratulations to the 12 successful bids to become the latest Local Visit Economy Partnerships with VisitEngland; particular congratulations to our partners on the coast Visit Hull and East Yorkshire, Cumbria Tourism and Visit Kent who join the pilot LVEPs Visit County Durham, Visit Northumberland and Newcastle Gateshead Initiative. We look forward to new opportunities for growth in the local visitor economies and access to available government funding streams.
Best wishes,
Samantha Richardson MBE"
